Lake View Academy

With the dropout rate for high school students in Chicago at an all time high, the Lake View Academy is our attempt to respond to this phenomenal statistic. For 28 years our school has met the needs of youth in the city who have not been able to thrive in the city school system. Tuition is charged on a sliding scale and job training and college placement counseling is provided. Students who graduate from Lake View Academy go on to college and other training programs and statistically lead productive and fruitful lives as a result of their experience with our school.  For more information, please visit their website at the link underlined above.

Parish Nurse

In partnership with Advocate Health Care we are fortunate to have in our midst Sue Cox, a registered nurse who has been trained specifically to work in a parish setting. Whether it is visiting someone in the hospital or helping a new mom get settled with an infant, whether she is monitoring blood pressures or teaching a health education class Sue’s work among us reflects our commitment to spiritual, mental and physical well-being for all our members.

For more information about the Parish Nurse Program visit Advocate at the link above.

Golden Diners

In a joint program with the City of Chicago Department of Aging, we host the Golden Diners Program each weekday at 11:30 am. Senior Citizens come from all around to enjoy a hot meal at a reasonable price and the company of others from the community. Our Parish Nurse, Sue Cox, is on hand to consult with seniors about housing and health issues.
